Dave Monsch 

      Dave Monsch is one of the most in demand saxophone players in North Texas. A student of the “Texas Tenor Sound”, Dave’s wide-ranging skills have led him from touring the country with funk bands like Beef Jerky and Funktion Junktion, to leading the Big Band of crooner Ricki Derek.  Some of the artists that he has performed and/or recorded with include: Elle King, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Steve Lippia, B.J. Thomas,  Sarah Jaffe, Eric Pulido (Midlake), Red Young, Ricki Derek, Naked Lunch, Little Jack Melody, The Hip Van Winkles, Cirque du Horror, Keith Carlock, Joel Harrison, Dean Parks, Blue Lou Marini, Bobby Sparks, Kirk Franklin,  and  Deep Blue Something.

      Mr. Monsch is a graduate of the University of North Texas with a BM in Jazz Performance. He went on to be the Assistant Band Director at A+ Academy in Dallas, Texas from 2002-2008 where he started the Jazz Program. His jazz band at A+ Academy won “Outstanding Group” at the Majestic Theater in 2007. Dave has also taught saxophone at many Dallas/Fort Worth area schools, including Rockwall, Mesquite, Cedar Hill, Frisco, and Red Oak.  He is currently working regularly as a performing and recording artist in the Dallas area.
