FLIPSIDE

Don't miss the chance to hear Flipside at sunset in the magnificent surroundings of the Daphne Prarie, a 900-acre remnant of the magical ecosystem that once stretched across the Great Plains. Hayride at 5 PM, BBQ at 6 PM, Music at 6:30 PM.

Paul Unger joins trumpeter, Pete Clagett, in a tribute to jazz legend, Miles Davis. The band pays tribute to Miles' legendary first quartet with John Coltrane, Paul Chambers, Red Garland and Philly Joe Jones - the second great quartet of Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter and Tony Williams - and various selections from Miles' electric period, including Bitches Brew, On The Corner, Jack Johnson and Jean-Pierre.

Professor Paul Unger presents his double bass students from Texas Christian University. Works will include the composers J.S. Bach, Tony Osborne, Dave Anderson, Henry Eccles and Max Bruch. All ages welcome. Free and open to the public.
